15.4. Notes About Sharing Edit Access
When sharing edit access to Looker Studio reports, be mindful of the following points:
Sharing Edit Access to Reusable Data Sources
Sharing edit access to a report doesn't grant edit access to reusable data sources within that report. If you want to give someone full edit access to a report and its data sources, you have two options:
Share edit access to the reusable data source separately by going to Looker Studio, finding the data source under the Data Sources tab, and using the sharing option for the data source.
Share only the data source with your team, allowing them to create a new report based on that data source.
Notifications and Credentials
Be careful when sharing with a large group of people, as it might trigger numerous notifications. Additionally, remember the differences between owner and viewer credentials when sharing data sources and reports. Using owner credentials allows viewers to see the report without needing access to the underlying data set, while viewer credentials require viewers to have access to the underlying data set for the report to display correctly.
Embedding Reports
When embedding Looker Studio reports, be aware that community visualizations do not work in embedded reports.
